There's nothing better than taking a walk on the beach. Especially when you're with your mama and you have your denim sun bonnet on! But what about a beach treasure hunt?
Three Easy Beach Treasure Hunt Ideas
1. Make up a list ahead of time of items each player needs to collect to win. This works best if you've already visited the beach and have a good idea of what you'll be finding.
2. Choose a color theme and collect as many items as you can in that color range. We have had some beautiful collections of all the blue rocks and shell pieces we could find. Or some days pink just calls our name.
3. Collect as many (fill in the blank) as you can. This day the obvious choice was sand dollars. But some days maybe you want to pick the not-so-obvious choice for a challenge.
These ideas work with large groups of friends at parties, or just you and your beach baby. But if you are at the beach for an extended period of time, don't forget your hat, and don't forget your sunscreen! If you want a list of baby safe sunscreens, click the link, I've got a great list for ya!
One thing I really love about the beaches where we live is that you very often don't even need to bring sand toys. The beach is all ready full of natural wonders like sand dollars, seaweed, beach glass and rocks! There's no telling what you'll find.
