We have the coolest new community in our town! A once a month meet up of creative minds. A place to sit and craft, or chat with a new buddy. Organized by my pal Amy Newman, Meet & Make 805 couldn't be anything less than the hippest place to be.
November's meet up was hosted by Fred & Betty's, a local thrift shop. Sara and Lindsey went all out decorating the tables with vintage wears and linens. Cash registers were left open after hours for those of us who can't NOT buy something when they're in a thrift store.
Some ladies brought dolls to stitch, a sketchbook, a coloring book, a quilt to baste, knitting, clothes altering, embroidery, paints....and some just enjoyed the creative feelings in the air, and preferred to meet new friends and get inspired. Say hi to all the beautiful faces, or stay comfortable in the corner, everyone is welcome, and hopefully everyone leaves refreshed and encouraged.
The next event is scheduled for this Monday, December 14th at Hive Salon in San Luis Obispo at 6:30 pm. We're gonna need some extra tables and chairs, so if you have some foldables, please bring them with you, you'll be sure to get multiple high fives! Also, if you want, bring a friend, your own sips, snacks, and crafty projects! A $2 donation fee is also appreciated. Hope I see you there!
