3 Reasons Why We Are Going To Take More Group Selfies

group self timer selfie

We have just discovered how much fun taking a group photo can be! I'm not a big fan of the selfie for myself, just feels lonely and weird (although, don't get me wrong, I love looking at photos of other people's selfies, it's my own personal thing). But, turn the self timer on, bring in your homies, and you've got an instant party!

3 Reasons To Take an "Usie"

1) It's doing something together, rather than alone. So much of Social Media is supposed to bring people together socially, but we all know the feeling of being so isolated on our own devices. The Usie is a way of interacting with the people you are physically with, while still engaging via Social Media.

2) It's fun! I'm serious! Now, we don't have a selfie stick, so I can't speak for how much fun that tool could possibly bring to the situation, but using the built in self timer on our camera makes for lot's of bloopers, which get's us giggling TOGETHER.

3) You're creating and capturing memories with the people you love! When I look back 20 years from now, I'm not going to be as excited about seeing awkward pictures of just myself, but the treasures are going to be seeing pictures of me with my girls, friends, and family!

I know we're late to the group selfie party, but we are all for it! Our new goal is to take an "Ussie" at least once a week. Want to join us? You can follow along on Instagram @emily_bluecorduroy and tag me in your group selfies too! I want to see them!

The sun has finally come back to us after two full weeks of the most rain we’ve seen in a loooong time. So much flooding so much chaos, mixed with amazing rainbows and the promise of a spring full of wildflowers.
