What Life Looked Like Last Month

August was sure a busy month for us! The girls participated in our local Children's Craft fair, and Ruby made some gorgeous feathers (among other things) and even shared her pointers on how to paint a feather as a guest post. We made sure to get in the water as often as we could, mostly at our favorite surf spot, The Pit. A fun family reunion up in Oregon meant lots of plane rides. And I am finding myself reaching for the yarn and knitting needles, must mean fall is right around the corner. For more day to day pictures of what we're doing, come find me on Instagram as @emily_bluecorduroy.

A Week in the Life

Of all the social media's, Instagram has stolen my heart. I love seeing everybody's viewpoint of their lives from their very own eyes. It's one thing to hear from a friend what they are doing, but to see it makes it all come real for me. I also like how it holds me accountable to consistently document our days. When I look back to the girls' baby books, I am sad and a little embarrassed at how few photos I have to help remind us of those precious days. Are you on Instagram? Come introduce yourself, I would love to peek into your world. You can find me at @emily_bluecorduroy.

Clockwise from top left: 1) Our community college pool, practically empty in the afternoons, with Ginger taking a break from swimming to tell me her feelings about the high dive. 2) Sneak peak of some new products. 3) Morning surf, summer fog, Morro Bay. 4) Ginger takes her love of flowers to the next level with this amazing flower crown she "whipped up" one morning.

I’m always so pleasantly surprised at how well these zipper bags sell! Lately I’ve been day dreaming about making some larger beach bags, because I’m really ready for some sunny beach days, how about you?

The sun has finally come back to us after two full weeks of the most rain we’ve seen in a loooong time. So much flooding so much chaos, mixed with amazing rainbows and the promise of a spring full of wildflowers.
