Ruffled Sunbonnets in a Field of Flowers

I'm so in love with these Ruffle Sunbonnets! They totally remind me of the prairie girl bonnets I used to make for my girls when they were little and pretending to be Laura Ingalls.  The big ruffle does a fabulous job of keeping the sun off their faces.

Just like with the Visor Sunbonnet, their ears stay covered as well.  This is great news if you have a baby like mine where their little ears can get sunburned, but it also keeps their ears protected if its a bit windy out.

Another bonus I've discovered with the bonnet style sun hat is that if you have a baby not yet sitting, or have a toddler riding in a stroller, there is no brim to have to figure out what to do with, the hat stays comfortably on their head without flipping forward or being an uncomfortable bulge in back.

These guys are available in three different color patterns, Golden, Black and White Stripes, and a Vintage Floral.

These new sunbonnets are the perfect thing this spring for little adventurers! So much sun protection for their head and eyes, keeps the wind off their ears, and so comfortable to wear.  I made these with a velcro chin strap and a bit of elastic at the back of the neck for a great fitting hat.

Now available in my Blue Corduroy Etsy Shop in four different colors, denim blue, black, tan, and green.  Lightweight and all cotton.  Machine wash and dry.

New in the Shop: Tribal Baby Sun Hats

A couple new additions to the shop!  Tribal print baby summer sun hats.  Made from lightweight cotton, and a thin layer of interfacing to keep a nice shape.  Includes a chin strap.  Whether your baby likes to pull off their hats, or are just so active the hats seem to not stay put, the strap can really come in handy.
