Ruffled Sunbonnets in a Field of Flowers

I'm so in love with these Ruffle Sunbonnets! They totally remind me of the prairie girl bonnets I used to make for my girls when they were little and pretending to be Laura Ingalls.  The big ruffle does a fabulous job of keeping the sun off their faces.

Just like with the Visor Sunbonnet, their ears stay covered as well.  This is great news if you have a baby like mine where their little ears can get sunburned, but it also keeps their ears protected if its a bit windy out.

Another bonus I've discovered with the bonnet style sun hat is that if you have a baby not yet sitting, or have a toddler riding in a stroller, there is no brim to have to figure out what to do with, the hat stays comfortably on their head without flipping forward or being an uncomfortable bulge in back.

Handmade, Ear Flaps, and Those Blue Eyes

How lucky was I to have this gorgeous little girl come visit in my shop the other day?! She's not actually talking yet, but I'm pretty positive she said "Can I wear one of your hats, Miss Emily?"
